Meet Yelena
Yelena Barbosa — Food Scientist, Beverage Innovation Leader, Author, and Co-Founder
Yelena is a food scientist and product development leader with 15+ years of experience across global CPG innovation, including PepsiCo, Keurig, IFF, Welch’s, and Kerry Group.
Her work has spanned beverage development, ingredient systems, flavor, formulation, and cross-functional innovation. Her work is the kind of behind-the-scenes product work that helps ideas become products people actually enjoy.
Yelena is also an author, Ohio State alumna, CEO of the Barbosa family, and manages Endless Thesis Holdings, Balterra’s parent company.
Meet Jose
Jose L. Barbosa — Food Scientist, R&D Executive, Author, and Founder of Balterra
Jose is a food scientist and R&D executive with 24+ years of experience in global CPG innovation, including PepsiCo, Keurig, DSM-Firmenich, and MegaFood.
He has led launches across beverages, supplements, functional foods, and consumer health formats — from Pepsi Next to Omega 3-6-9 and now Balterra.
Jose founded Balterra to bring product development discipline, plain-language education, and greater transparency to the supplement aisle.
